Jaw Crusher
The jaw crusher reduces slag as it passes through the crushing plates. Feeding action moves material from a hopper through the crusher, and the cheek plates reduce most of it instantly to half-inch spec size.
Just Refiners uses a Universal #2 Jaw Crusher with an approximate opening of 8″ × 10″ and 21″ long cheek plates.
Continuous Feed Rubber Lined Ball Mill
Particular care is taken when processing furnace linings, graphite crucibles and borax slag containing metallic gold and silver. We homogenize the by-product materials by crushing to less than 10 mm (half inch) for sampling purposes, then feed the crushed material through a rubber lined vibratory ball mill, reducing it to less than minus 60 mesh.
All material is screened through a Sweco vibratory screen, separating the metallic oversize from the milled material. The metallic oversize is melted in the JRI induction furnaces.
